Booking Procedure

It is advisable to book first and last night's accommodation in advance at all times.

Room Availability in Dublin

At the height of the tourist season - May to October - rooms in Dublin City and County are difficult to find unless accommodation is pre- booked. If visiting the capital city during these months, we strongly advise pre-booking all accommodation well in advance. Never count on finding rooms at short notice in Dublin.

Onward Reservations:

Should problems arise finding accommodation when in Ireland, contact any Tourist Information Office, or seek advice and assistance from your host/hostess in Town and Country Homes. She/he will assist in booking subsequent night/nights for the cost of a telephone call.

Credit Card Bookings

Credit cards are accepted in homes with the symbol. Telephone reservations may be guaranteed by quoting a valid credit card number. Check terms and conditions when booking.

Travel Agents Vouchers

Please present your voucher on arrival. Vouchers are only valid in homes displaying . Standard vouchers cover B&B in room without private facilities. To upgrade to en suite rooms the maximum charge is €2.00 per person. The maximum charge for 3 or more sharing should not exceed €5 per room.En suite vouchers covers a room with full private facilities. No extra charge is payable.

Dublin Supplement:

A room supplement for Dublin city and county of €7.50 applies for the months of June, July August & September on Travel Agency Vouchers. This charge is paid directly to the accommodation provider and is not included in the voucher.

Cancellation policy

When a reservation has been confirmed, please check cancellation policy with establishment at the time of booking. The person making the reservation is responsible for the agreed cancellation fee.

Please telephone immediately in the event of a cancellation. Should it be necessary to cancel or amend a booking without sufficient prior notice, a financial penalty applies.

• 7-14 days notice - 50% of the 1st night
• 24hours-6 days notice - 75% of the 1st night
• Failure to show - 100% of the 1st night

Late Arrivals

Please note that late arrival - estimated after 6pm is by Special Agreement with home. It would be much appreciated if time of arrival were given to your host/hostess.

Advance Bookings

For advance bookings, a cheque or Credit Card number may be requested to guarantee arrival. Check Terms and Conditions.

Check In/Out

Please advise of early arrival.

• Rooms available between 2pm and 6pm.
• Check out should be no later than 11am.
• Reservations should be taken up by 6pm.

Reduction for Children

Applies where children share parents room or three or more children share one room. Full rate applies when one or two children occupy separate rooms. Please check that the home is suitable for children when booking. Cots are available in some homes ­ there may be a nominal charge.

Evening Meals

Book in advance preferably before 12 noon on the day. Light meals available on request.

Pets

With the exception of Guide Dogs, in the interest of hygiene pets are not allowed indoors.

Disabled Persons/Wheelchair Users

Premises will only be listed with homes that have been approved by Comhairle or in the past by the National Rehabilitation Board.
